CMC strives to keep its digital presence innovative and to keep pace with technological advancements to meet the expectations of their clients and patients. These days, that means providing easy, instant access to information across a large variety of devices and media platforms.
They wanted to provide their customers a connected application that would help them easily locate specialty and primary care locations and relevant contact information. The application would be tailored to their customers’ needs.
One of the key principles held by CMC is their focus on customer conveniences. Over time, the organization has built an informative website to serve their users. They wanted to distill the key information from their website into an easy-to-navigate mobile application that would run well on many different devices.
Seeking to maximize cross-device compatibility, our designers and engineers opted for a hybrid solution. This would ensure that no matter the platform they were on, the app’s users would have an identical experience. Additionally, the app would take advantage of navigation features of mobile hardware, allowing users to select one of CMC’s locations and immediately pull up directions in their respective navigation software. These ease-of-use considerations were important to get right to fully support visitors, patients, and customers alike.
With a complete design of the app in mind, our engineers set about implementing CMC’s vision of the app. Throughout regular intervals, our team would meet with the project’s stakeholders to both share the project’s progress and solicit feedback on the current state of the application. This ensured CMC was involved directly in the evolution of the app from beginning to end.

The released version of CMC Connect marked an important step forward for Catholic Medical Center. It supported and expanded their core goal of empowering customers through information, as well as making the process of receiving medical care as easy and straightforward as possible.
In addition to helping users navigate to one of their many locations, the app also allows patients to schedule an appointment with an urgent or primary care provider from the palm of their hand. It also allows users to register for educational classes and events, or browse current job openings within CMC. Best of all, these actions can all be done from the convenience of the user’s phone.
The app also works well with CMC’s website and refers users to it when necessary. The final product is an important step forward for CMC’s digital strategy and helps them stay ahead of the curve when it comes to using technology to better serve their patients.
