Are happy Apple iPad and other tablet users turning their backs on the once reliable PC?

The answer is yes, according to The NPD Group, a market research company. In a recent online survey of 2,400 U.S. consumers, almost 30% of tablet users said they prefer it for internet and social utilities (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) over PCs.

Kudos to Apple for keeping customer satisfaction high!

Now, the challenge is on PC makers to create a tablet that can harmonize and conjoin the two devices.

“With so many manufacturers getting into the tablet game, we need to make sure consumers understand the capabilities of these devices and how to make them co-exist with each other, as well as with the devices they currently own,” Stephen Baker, vice president of industry analysis at The NPD Group said.
