If the Android was a cartoon, it’d be Speedy Gonzales.Okay, the analogy of choice is cheesy. But, according to a new study released by Blaze, the Android phone loads web pages faster than Apple’s iPhone. The study calculated load times on more than 45,000 pages and found that the Android loads pages 52% quicker! This equates to an average of 2.1 seconds for the Android versus 3.3 seconds for the iPhone.

Additional key findings:

  • iPhone was slower on 84% of sites
  • Android was even faster on non-mobile sites
  • iPhone 4.3 and Android 2.3 were not much faster than previous versions
