An inside glimpse of a Pakistani air-force complex where they make jet fighters and weapons are also building their very own version of the iPad.  It is called the PACPAD and it is meant to boost the countries economy as well as the troubled nations self-esteem.

Although, it may be great for the common moral of the country I can’t help but see it as a bit confusing. What is the point of it? I am not the only one confused by this.

"I just can't figure it out," said Jehan Ara, head of Pakistan's Software Houses Association, said of the PACPAD. "Even if they could sell a billion units, I can't see the point. The air force is supposed to be protecting the air space and borders of the country."

The article states it is to boost country pride and to stop the overshadowing technology power of India.  What do you all think of PACPAD? Good or bad idea?
